A MODERN DAY FRENCH REVOLUTION - MACRON TRIES TO AVOID MARIE ANTOINETTE'S DESTINY

The ferocious protests in the last few weeks in Paris, which most of us are witnessing, have been provoking sentiments across the rest of the world, especially in Europe, that includes us Maltese and non who inhabit this non insular island,to think, to empathize, understand and sympathize with the so called 'gilets jaunes'(yellow vests). Let's face it, have we not been feeling disillusioned time and time again by the way politicians do not practice what they preach, or by their failure to disclose methods and measures they planned to implement in order to achieve the results they promised. The general feeling is that ultimately we are to pay (in different ways but also and mostly financially) for failed policies implemented by the different administrations which ultimately punish us commoners. Aggressiveness and violence are always condemnable but the Paris protests have probably set a precedent (for our times) that resorting to unified mass unrest actually works out. Below is an interesting article complete with videos, which investigates and explains better what is happening in the street of Paris, the genuine yellow vest protesters unfairly being blamed of criminal acts done by far left, possibly antifa anarchists who took advantage of the situation, by P.J. Gladnick, December 9 2018 17.05 est MRC NewsBusters:https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/pj-gladnick/2018/12/09/alternative-canadian-news-reveals-antifaanarchist-looting-paris
This week, we have seen how the networks avoided the connection of Les Gilet Jaunes or Yellow Vest protests in Paris to the global warming ideology promoted by French President Emmanuel Macron (which led him to impose a fuel tax that he was forced to back away from). However, another bit of misreporting from much of the mainstream media involves properly identifying who it is during these Yellow Vest protests that are doing the looting and desecration of monuments with graffiti.
Fortunately, we have an alternative Canadian news source, The Rebel, which has reported from Paris on who the perpetrators are. Their revelation is something you won't see in much of the rest of the media in either Canada or the U.S.A. which have left the impression that the lootings and desecrations were done by the regular Yellow Vests.

The first Rebel Media video is a report from Martina Markota who shows us the obvious self-identifications of the Anarchists and possibly Antifa, which somehow the MSM seemed to overlook while blaming the Yellow Vests in general for those crimes. (See above: One image clearly shows a graffiti tagging that read "Antifa.")

Markota made a good point at the end of her report about if you are a French patriot, why would you desecrate their most important monument, the Arc de Triomphe, with graffiti.

Her Rebel Media colleague, Jack Buckby, added an observation on December 4 about the misreporting on the destruction by the media:

What I noticed is when you see these shops that have been burned down they are tagged with graffiti and that's Antifa and Anarchist graffiti. Now of course the media is going to look at the chaos in Paris. The fact that the streets of Paris are literally burning and they're going to conflate it all with the Gilet Jaunes. They're going to say it's all because of these tax protesters and it's just not true.

It turns out that Buckby was exactly right about how the media has reported on the destruction. An example is this December 1 Associated Press report:

France's most violent urban riot in more than a decade engulfed some of central Paris on Saturday as "yellow jacket" activists torched cars, smashed windows, looted stores and tagged the Arc de Triomphe with multi-coloured graffiti.
Emmanuel Macron of En Marche! was elected President, the youngest ever French President at 39 years, after a land slide win over Marine Le Pen of the National Front in a final run-off on May 7 2017, just over a year and a half ago. Macron was not into politics until a few years ago he was a banker, former President Francois Hollande drafted him as his economic adviser before promoting him to economic Minister in 2014. Macron formed his own political movement, En Marche! when still a minister in the socialist government in April 2016, from which he resigned in August of the same year, describing the move as a new step in his battle to build a project. In the election campaign he promised, more renewable energy, free hearing aids and optical glasses, less corporation tax for businesses, reduce unemployment, ban children under the age of 15 from using mobile phones at school.

Macron's determination to boost the use of renewable fuels has been of detriment to his popularity and the major issue which ignited the ire of the yellow vests and French citizens in general, his measure to increase taxes on fossil fuels from 30.50 Euro to 44.6 Euro per ton this year and the announced increase to 55 Euro next year resulted in a deep slump to his popularity, his current approval standing now at a low of 25%. Fuel taxes are not the only issue of dissatisfaction and anger amongst the protesters and public in general, there is a broad disappointment on living in general.

Macron 'The great Centrist' is presently not great anymore, 'The Mozart of Finance' is not inspiring his audience, his change of melody is far from being appreciated, we will have to wait and see if he will be given another chance to play again or if he will end up executed (metaphorically) like Marie Antoinette.
